Processing & Dispatch
All ByPoppyUK lampshades are handmade to order. Please allow 10–14 working days for your order to be made and dispatched. During busy periods (particularly October–February) this may extend slightly — we'll always keep you informed.
UK Shipping
We ship all UK orders via Royal Mail or Parcelforce tracked delivery, depending on size and weight.
- Standard delivery: 1-3 working days after dispatch
- Larger orders may require a signature on delivery
- Free local collection is available by arrangement (please contact us before ordering)
Everything is handmade, to order, by us in our rural studio in Worcestershire, this is one of the reasons it can take a little bit longer for your order to be dispatched. If you need your order sooner than this, please do email us and we will do everything we can to get your order out to you as quickly as possible.
International Shipping
We currently ship to the United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Switzerland.
All international orders are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked.
You will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size of your order.
If you are ordering multiple items, please contact us before purchasing and we may be able to offer a combined shipping rate.
All orders are securely shipped out in double walled cardboard boxes, and all lampshades are wrapped in recyclable bubblewrap. We try to reuse packaging as much as we can, while also maintaining the integrity of our packaging process, ensuring your items arrive with you safely and quickly.
Delivery times are estimated and may vary due to customs processing and local postal services.
Size Restrictions for International Orders
Most of our lampshades & other products can be shipped internationally. However, large shades over 40cm diameter are unavailable for international delivery due to maximum parcel dimension limits.
The Following are unavailable for delivery outside the UK:
— Drum lampshades 45cm diameter and above
— Big Fat Cone
— Extra Tall Cone
— Extra Large Coolie Empire
— XXL French Drum Empire
If you are ordering a larger shade and are unsure whether it can be shipped to you, please contact us before purchasing and we will confirm availability and shipping options for your size and destination.
All other styles and sizes are available to ship outside of the UK. If you're unsure whether a particular style or a custom size can be shipped to you, please don't hesitate to get in touch — we're always happy to help!
Customs, Duties & Import Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs fees, import duties, or taxes levied by your country's customs authority. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in our shipping rates.
We only cover customs/import taxes for USA deliveries.
We are not able to predict what charges may apply — please check with your local customs office if you are unsure. ByPoppyUK cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs processing.
Tracking Your Order
All domestic and international orders include tracking. You will receive your tracking number by email once your parcel has been dispatched.
International Delivery typically takes 7-10 working days once your order has been dispatched. Please bear in mind that all of our lampshades are handmade to order, so please allow 1–2 weeks of processing time before dispatch.
If you need your order by a specific date, please get in touch before placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Lost or Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and item immediately and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
If your parcel appears to be lost in transit, please contact us and we will raise an investigation with the carrier. Please allow the full estimated delivery window before reporting a parcel as missing.
